Hermosísimo Lucero

An exhibition of artist from Los Angeles and Ciudad de Mexico organized by Alfonso González JR and Isauro Huízar.

Inspired in the origins of the culture behind mexican identity, including its roots and popular contemporary trends, this exhibition proposes to show the work of artists based in Los Angeles in dialogue with artists living in Ciudad de México. The focus on this cross-border popular culture between the masses serves as an excuse in order to explore the vibrant nature of these expressions related with identity, without pretending to glamourize stereotypes, and in the same way, examine its influence on primarily migrant latinxs artists from first or second generation and some Mexico based artists.
